Coronavirus: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife tests positive

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife has tested positive for coronavirus. Last night, Prime Minister Trudeau had self-isolated after his wife developed symptoms for the deadly virus which has claimed lives of thousands across the globe.

According to a statement issued by Trudeau’s communication director, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau developed mild symptoms and following the medical advice was put in isolation. The health professionals will reach out to those who were in close contact with her.

As of Thursday, Canada has 138 confirmed cases of COVID-19. The WHO has declared coronavirus outbreak a pandemic which has affected at least 1,25,000 people worldwide. Yesterday, Hollywood star Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, had also issued a statement confirming the duo had tested positive for coronavirus while in Australia.
