Jyotiriaditya Scindia, the scion of the Scindia Dynasty, has resigned from the Congress party after rifts widened between him and Chief Minister Kamal Nath. The Congress government in Madhya Pradesh is on the verge of collapse after nearly 20 MLAs resigned following Scindia’s lead. There is also the possibility of more leaders following suit.

It is reported that Scindia may soon join the BJP. Reports say that he may be elected to the Rajya Sabha on a BJP ticket. With Scindia and several Congress MLAs resigning, the Kamal Nath government may fall anytime.
