Saved by coronavirus? Madhya Pradesh assembly session adjourned for ten days, no floor test for Kamal Nath

The political drama in Madhya Pradesh has come to an abrupt anti-climax as the assembly session has been adjourned for ten days in the wake of the Coronavirus scare. The floor test that was scheduled today by Governor Lalji Tandon has been postponed for now too. Essentially, the Kamal Nath government remains in power, thanks to Coronavirus.

The Madhya Pradesh assembly has been adjourned till March 26. Earlier today, governor Lalji Tandon had addressed the assembly and stated, “All must follow the rules under the Constitution so that dignity of Madhya Pradesh remains protected.”

Both CM Kamal Nath and former CM Shivraj Chouhan were present in the Madhya Pradesh assembly earlier with their MLAs. Congress Minister PC Sharma had stated to ANI that 16 of their MLAs had ‘disappeared’ about whom CM Kamal Nath has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
