A day after he resigned, the Congress party has approved ‘expulsion‘ of Scindia with immediate effect.

Congress ‘approves’ expulsion of Scindia

The terse ‘expulsion’ comes a day after Scindia’s polite resignation to the interim party President, Sonia Gandhi. He was reportedly expelled for ‘anti-Party’ activities.

Earlier on Tuesday, Scindia had met Prime Minister Modi at his residence along with Home Minister Amit Shah. Meanwhile, along with Scindia, 14 other Madhya Pradesh Congress MLAs have tendered their resignation. With this, the Madhya Pradesh state government is on a brink of a collapse.
