Bigoted user mocked for display of Hinduphobia on Twitter

An attendee of the TOI Bangalore litfest took to Twitter yesterday to vent her blatant Hinduphobia. She suggested that the Diya which is traditionally lighted during the inauguration of any event or ceremony, is problematic for Christians and Muslims as the ritual is deeply rooted in Hinduism.

Twitter users were quick to slam her for her Hinduphobia and point out her own intolerance and privilege.

Literature Festivals are usually a gathering of intellectuals who are fond of ruminating about the growing intolerance in the country from within the confines of their safe space where everyone more or less shares the same opinion on every political issue. But even for them, to provide a platform to such a Hinduphobe was indeed a new low.
