As per reports, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha has registered a complaint and demanded that a case be registered under section 153. 153(A) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for spreading hatred between communities and disturbing social harmony through her tweet which alleged that the RSS and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari are plotting the assassination of Prime Minister Modi.
“The message is totally false, unfounded, concocted and without any basis. The message also promotes insecurity and uncertainty in the country by levelling unfounded allegations that RSS/Gadkari is planning to assassinate PM Modi,” the complaint said.
The complaint was filed by BJYM’s Shivam Chandra, media-in-charge, Pareksheet Dagar, national working committee member and Delhi BJP media committee member Raghav Mandal. Mr Dagar said, “They appear to get disturbed by looking at the unprecedented development works carried out by Mr Gadkari. Activists like Ms Rashid, Omar Khalid, and Kanhaiya Kumar are working to promote fear and anti-national politics in the country.” “People like Shehla often make such absurd comments, which break the society,” Mr Chhabra added.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had threatened legal action following Shehla Rashid’s accusation. Since then, she has claimed the tweet was merely sarcasm and played the ‘Islamophobia’ card to get herself out of trouble.
