According to the reports, the attempt to violate India’s airspace took place in Jammu and Kashmir’s Krishna-Ghati sector. The Indian Airforce radar system reportedly picked up the heat signatures of the Pakistani jets, which was passed on to the nearest airbase. The IAF jet immediately chased down Pakistani jets, which instantly retreated back to Pakistan occupied Kashmir. A visual has been accessed of the Pakistani jet retreating back into Pakistani airspace, leaving behind a long jetstream.
Meanwhile, India’s Defence Ministry has issued a statement stating that the Pakistan air intrusion on Wednesday was an attack on military installations. The officials of the defence ministry further added that they believe that the Indian Air Force Pilot was ill-treated by the Pakistan Army in violation of the Geneva convention.
“We believe that the Pakistan Army is actively supporting the Jaish-e-Mohammed and is harbouring the leaders including Masood Azhar in its facilities,” said Defence Ministry officials.
Reportedly, there will be a joint press briefing by Indian Army, Indian Airforce and Air Force to brief on the ongoing development in New Delhi at 5 pm today
