An encounter started between the security forces and terrorists in Pinglan area of Pulwama district in South Kashmir where 2-3 terrorists were reportedly trapped. The Army personnel belonged to the 55 Rashtriya Rifles. After a few hours of the encounter, the firing had briefly stopped for some time. However, after a brief halt, the firing had resumed. The encounter is underway about 15 kms from the place where the suicide bomber killed 44 CRPF jawans last week.
