Watch: BJP President Amit Shah and UP CM Yogi Adityanath take the holy dip at Kumbh

BJP president, Amit Shah was at Prayagraj on Wednesday where he took a holy dip at the Kumbh Mela. He was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh CM, Yogi Adityanath who took the holy dip for a second time this Kumbh.

Following the holy dip, Shah also performed the Ganga Aarti at the Kumbh. During the Aarti, the President of the Akhara Council, Mahant Narendra Giri, Maha Parishad Hari Giri, Acharya Awadheshand Giri of Juna Akhara, Yoga Guru, Baba Ramdev were also present.

Shah also met various saints and seers during his visit. Following Amit Shah’s visit, there have been reports that PM Modi might soon visit the Kumbh in Prayagraj.

Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath are scheduled to visit the Akshayvat and Hanuman Mandir after the Ganga Aarti, due to which these places will be shut for common pilgrims for two hours. Also, the fort, VIP Ghat and the Aral VIP Ghat will remain sealed. He is also scheduled to witness the installation of the country’s highest 150-feet-high ‘Trisul’ dedicated to Lord Shiv at the Kumbh Mela on the banks of the Yamuna.

During his visit, Shah is also expected to reiterate his stand on the issue of the Ram Temple and that the BJP wants construction of a temple at Ayodhya to begin at the earliest.

The next main bathing day in Kumbh will be on February 19 on the occasion of Maghi Purnima.
