B K Hariprasad, Congress MP from Karnataka, has stirred a controversy by mocking the Pulwama terrorist attack which claimed the lives more than 40 CRPF personnel. Hariprasad called the terrorist attack a ‘fixed-match’ between PM Modi and Pakistan. Pakistan based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad had claimed the responsibility of the attack.

The Congress leader asked Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad whether there was any match-fixing between Pakistan and Modi. “Ravi Shankar Prasad should clarify whether there was any match-fixing between Pakistan and Narendra Modi”, he said.

He added that without PM Modi’s knowledge, the Pulwama terror attack would not have taken place. “If you look at the chain of events that have taken place after Pulwama, it looks like Narendra Modi had a match-fixing with Pakistan people,” he said.

This is not the only instance of downplaying the ghastly Pulwama terror attack by Congress leaders. Earlier senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh had called the Pulwama terrorist attack an “accident”. Surprisingly Digvijay Singh’s remarks were supported by another Congress leader Govind Singh Kushwah who said that whatever Singh says eventually turns out to be the truth. Joining next was the Goa Congress leader who accused PM Modi and BJP President of planning Pulwama terror attack alleging that they had planned the Godhra incident too.

Such irresponsible and highly condemnable statements made by Congress leaders have not only weakened India’s case but have helped Pakistan’s false propaganda. Pakistan used the antipathy of the opposition parties in India, particularly Congress, to deny the airstrikes done by India on Jaish-e-Mohammad training camps in Pakistan. Congress party never misses a chance to attack PM Modi even if it comes at the cost of national interest.
