World leaders congratulate PM Modi for his stunning victory in 2019 Lok Sabha elections

Leaders across the world are sending congratulatory wishes to PM Modi on his magnificent electoral performance in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. BJP has already crossed leads on its 2014’s tally of 282 and is currently hovering at 300 seat mark on its own. The NDA alliance on a whole is leading on 350+ seats out of 543 Lok Sabha seats.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu became the first world leader to congratulate PM Modi for scripting a spectacular victory in the recently concluded polls and promised to strengthen their ‘great friendship’ as well as bilateral ties between the two countries. Netanyahu asserted that the victory reaffirmed PM Modi’s leadership of the world’s largest democracy.

Another international leader, Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe took to Twitter to congratulate his compatriot PM Modi on what seems like an inevitable BJP victory.

Next up was Russian president Vladimir Putin who sent a congratulatory telegram to PM Modi to wish him good wishes on the convincing victory of the BJP at the general parliamentary elections.

Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli also conveyed his congratulatory wishes to PM Modi for the electoral victory.

Chinese President Xi Jinping too had congratulated PM Modi on winning the 17th Lok Sabha elections. In a letter addressed to Modi, Xi expressed his “heartfelt congratulations” to Modi on his victory.

Xi also mentioned in the letter the significance of PM Modi’s victory in building and sustaining the closer developmental partnership between the two countries and expressed satisfaction on the strong momentum of development gained between the two neighbours in the recent years.
