As the Congress party continues to introspect and look for new scapegoats to pass the blame of the 2019 poll debacle, their newly appointed leader in the Parliament, Adhir Ranjan Choudhury has been given the task of steering the party in the Parliament.

In the current ongoing session of the 17th Lok Sabha, Choudhury today said that Wing Commander Abhinandan should be awarded and his moustache should be made the ‘national moustache’.

Following the Pulwama terror attack in February this year, Indian Air Force carried out an airstrike on the terror camp in Pakistan at Balakot. In retaliation action, Pakistan Air Force attacked our military installations. When a PAF F-16 entered Indian air space, Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman chased it on his MiG 21. However, he crossed into Pakistan territory and was captured by the Pakistani Army. Disturbing videos were released where Wing Commander Abhinandan appeared to be complimenting Pakistani Army under duress.

However, his moustache caught the nation’s fancy and men started sporting the moustache and it is very popularly called the ‘Abhinandan cut’.

Congress, which seems to have its priorities sorted, now wants to declare it as a ‘national moustache’.
