Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded a grand reception by BJP after he landed at Delhi today evening after completing a week-long visit of the United States of America. The PM had visited the USA to attend the annual United Nations General Assembly, and this visit was started with a grand welcome by Indian Americans in Houston who had organised the Howdy Modi event, where USA President Donald Trump had also participated. The PM also had bilateral meetings with several heads of government on the sidelines of the UNGA, including president US Donald Trump.
BJP workers had organised a reception for the PM outside the Palam Airport, where more the 30,000 people had gathered to welcome Modi.

Addressing the gathering, Modi thanked the people to gather in such large numbers to receive him, and he greeted the entire 130 crore people in the country. He said that he had attended the UNGA after the 2014 elections, and he did the same after winning the 2019 elections also. ‘In these 5 years, I have seen a big change. The respect for India, the enthusiasm towards India has increased significantly. This is due to the 130 crore Indians. who have re-elected the government with greater majority’, he said.
PM said that the Howdy Modi event in Houston was grand, where President Trump was also present. “It was great to listen to praises of Indians in Houston from US politicians. I have seen first hand, the power of Indians in US”, he said. In addition to all this, what stands out is the manner in which the Indian community in the USA, in Texas and in Houston showcased their presence. The prime minister said that Indians living in different counties have earned the love of the people of the countries where they are living, and this is a matter of pride for India. How India can win the heart of the world, that I have seen with my own eyes, felt myself, he added.
The PM said that on this day 3 years ago, the brave soldiers of the country had showcased the glory of India before the world by executing the surgical strike. “Remembering that night today, I salute the courage of our brave soldiers”, he said.
At last, the prime minister greeted the nation on the occasion of Navaratri which starts tomorrow. “Thanking you for this honour, I will get back to work”, he said before leaving the stage waving to the crowd present.
