Former Interior Minister of Pakistan, Senator Rehman Malik has raised doubts over the veracity of the claims made by the United States President Donald Trump regarding the death of the dreaded ISIS chief Al-Baghdadi. Malik, in a tweet, said that he still awaits confirmation from the ISIS over their leader’s killing rather than believing the assertions made by the United States.

Yesterday, putting all speculations to rest, the US President Donald Trump addressing the nation from the White House said that Baghdadi died ‘whimpering and crying’ along with his three children he had taken along inside the tunnel where he detonated his suicide vest.

According to reports, the ISIS head Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi had killed himself by detonating a suicide vest during a raid by the US forces. Reuters reported that around February 2018 one of Baghdadi’s top aides gave information to US intelligence agencies on how one of the most dreaded terrorists evaded arrests all these years. It turns out that, to avoid detection, Baghdadi would hold strategic meetings in moving minibus packed with vegetables. Ismael al-Ethawi, a close aide of Baghdadi who fled Syria with his wife in 2017, gave information to Turkish authorities.

However, Pakistani leader Rehman Malik had placed little faith in White House and the international media agencies and more in the ISIS for them to issue a confirmation statement corroborating that their chief has been killed in an attack by the US forces. Furthermore, Malik also continued peddling gibberish saying that “the situation in Syria is confused at the cost of local blood and to save Geo-politics”. Pakistanis have often acted as apologists for the terror outfits by pinning the blame of violence and anarchy on the western countries while whitewashing the horrific atrocities committed by the terrorists.

In fact, this is not the first time that Senator Rehman Malik has acquainted people on Twitter with his low IQ. Prior to this, Malik had become the butt of all jokes when a popular parody Twitter user made him believe that P Chidambaram is being thrashed in the jail for opposing PM Modi. The Twitter user @Being_Humor shared a snap from Singham movie with Malik who confirmed in the DM that he will be sharing it with the United Nations regarding atrocities committed by India on its citizens for opposing abrogation of Article 370.
