20-year-old man Ayan who was previously arrested on charges of molestation is now identified as the perpetrator who made minor girls have hookah in a bar in Meerut. Police identified the location as Dugout Cafe and registered a case against the owners of the cafe. The police identified 20-year-old Ayan who lives in Shastri Nagar Sector 11. As per the reports, Ayan was arrested last year under molestation charges. Nauchandi Police registered a case against Ayan for giving hookah to minor girls and tracing his whereabouts.

After an uproar over social media, ADG Zone and IG Range took cognizance of the video and instructed Nauchandi police to take further action. A case was then filed against the cafe owner Sumit Chaudhary and manager Avinash. SP City Dr Akhilesh Narayan Singh said in a statement that police will take action against other hookah bars as well.

Nauchandi police said that accused Ayan was arrested on 1st September last year for molesting a minor student. He also threatened to kill her when her family protested. Police said that he is a repeat offender and have molested several girls in posh Shastri Nagar area. Ayan is currently on the run and the Meerut police is actively trying to locate him.
