Chennai: Corporation official heckled and thrashed by MDMK cadres for trying to remove banners welcoming Vaiko
The public in Chennai outraged against illegal banners and flex hoardings after an illegal hoarding recently claimed the life of a 23-year-old techie in Chennai.
MDMK Chief V Gopalaswamy or Vaiko had opposed the scrapping of Article 370 on the floor of Rajya Sabha. Vaiko, while speaking in Rajya Sabha on the same day, had called it a "day of sorrow".
Interestingly, the conviction comes at a time when the Vaiko was all set to return to the parliament after 15 years. Vaiko, who was once considered the political heir of DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi, was named the party’s candidate for Rajya Sabha by-polls on July 18.
The people of Tamil Nadu should keep all these things in mind when someone tries to instigate them using Tamizh emotions.
Things have heated up after the demolition of the Lenin statue in Tripura.
