Complainant Advocate Neeraj Rawat said: “This shows the culture of Congress party. Maybe that is how training is given in Congress party…I approached the Police with a complaint and an FIR has been registered.”
The incident occurred after Rai visited Mahoba on 22nd May to meet the family of a NEET aspirant who had allegedly been kidnapped, tortured, and assaulted. Congress workers violated police protocols in the process, and when police tried to stop them, Ajai Rai used highly derogatory words for PM Modi. He said, “Kah dena mein wohi Ajay Rai hun jisne Narendra Modi ki g***d faad di hain”.
BJP leader Amit Malviya noted that the comments came just days after PM Modi wished for his speedy recovery when Rai was unwell.

Ajay Rai has denied the allegations. He has claimed the viral video is fake and AI-generated by “BJP men” and has said he would file a police complaint over it.
Apart from the comments, the case also includes charges of public gathering without prior permission from authorities. It is alleged that a programme was organised at the residence of one Rajkumar Ahirwar in Samad Nagar locality without prior administrative permission. Ajay Rai allegedly arrived at the venue along with a convoy of 15-16 vehicles and around 25-30 supporters. The complaint stated that the vehicles were parked haphazardly on a public road, allegedly causing obstruction to traffic and inconvenience to residents.
A pen drive containing the video of Ajay Rai’s comments has been submitted with the complaint. Based on the complaint, police registered the case under Sections 126(2) (wrongful restrain), 132 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of duty), 189(2) (Unlawful assembly), 196(1) (promoting enmity between groups), 352 (breach of peace) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against Ajay Rai. The case also mentions local Congress leader Brijraj Ahirwar and 25-30 unidentified supporters of the party.
