YouTuber and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supporter Dhruv Rathee recently admitted that he tried to provoke Delhi Police personnel to rise in revolt against the democratically Indian government. During a recent interview with The Red Mike, Rathee said, smilingly, that while he was under preventive detention, he spoke to some police personnel and tried to provoke them to defy the Modi government and start a revolution.
Dhruv Rathee said that he tried to instigate the police personnel by highlighting their difficult working conditions. “In a democracy, the power lies in the hands of people, and you (police personnel) are also part of the people. In a developed country, no policeman would have tolerated the working conditions,” Rathee said, trying to provoke the police personnel.
According to Rathee, he urged the police personnel to rise in mutiny by applying the motto of “educate, agitate and organise” and following the principles of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar and MK Gandhi. “Educate your colleagues about the terrible conditions you are living in and the extent to which you are being exploited by the government; you are being treated like servants. One hapless police officer even told me, “Sir, a ‘job’ (naukri) essentially means being a servant (naukar),” Rathee said.
The AAP supporter asked the police personnel to organise in a group and launch a revolution against the Indian government. “The day police personnel started organising themselves against the government, it (regime change) will happen just like that,” Rathee said.
Furthermore, Rathee asked the Indian Army and Bollywood celebrities to follow the same motto of “educate, agitate and organise” and put up a unified opposition against the government. The YouTuber also urged the Indian Army to topple the government by launching a coup. Explaining his strategy, Rathee said that when Bollywood celebrities, the police forces, and the entire Army would rise in revolt against the government, it would not be able to detain such a large number of people and would eventually fall.
The interview exposes the desperation of Rathee and the likes of him, whose plans to hold the Indian state at ransom miserably failed on October 10, 2026, to create anarchy in the country. Notably, Rathee was among the people, including Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leaders, who were detained by the Delhi Police as a preventive measure to stop them from organising an agitation at Jantar Mantar in Delhi for which permission was not granted.
The Delhi Police denied permission to the CJP to hold a protest, considering the party’s past illegal conduct during its anti-paper leak protest held in June. The CJP continued the protest beyond the permissible period in violation of the police direction. Subsequently, the protesters breached police barricades and attacked police personnel, leaving over a hundred of them injured.
