The action comes after a video of Hafijul Molla Pradhan was seen threatening to run a steamroller over his opponents after the assembly elections. “I’m saying this under the open sky…after the election results on the 4th of May, I’ll run the steam roller over them,” he said in the video. He reportedly made the hate speech near Bedemari Bazar within the limits of Jibantala Police Station in South 24 Parganas.

Earlier, West Bengal Police arrested TMC leader Raju Mondal, who threatened voters not to vote for the BJP in the Baharampur Assembly constituency.
