CJP supporters verbally abuse, pepper-spray female journalist during protest for questioning vote chori conspiracy theory and raising Vande Mataram slogan

In a shocking turn of events during a claimed peaceful protest organised by the Cockroach Janta Party, leftist groups and self-proclaimed defenders of democracy brutally attacked a female journalist with pepper spray simply for asking for proof of their “vote chori” claims and chanting “Vande Mataram.”

The victim has been identified as legal creator and political vlogger Chandra Mouleswari Pandian, known on Instagram as @politicallymoule with over 90k followers. She was targeted after questioning protesters for evidence regarding allegations of vote chori and irregularities during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and the controversy surrounding Form 6 voter registrations, which led to demands for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Viral video shows unprovoked assault and chanting

A viral video circulating on social media captures the tense moments unfolding at the site. In the footage, Mouleswari can be seen pressing the crowd for concrete proof of the alleged electoral irregularities. When the protesters failed to provide any answers or evidence, she began chanting “Vande Mataram.” Escalating the situation rapidly, a woman from the protesting group stepped forward and directly sprayed pepper into Mouleswari’s eyes.

Witnesses and online users noted the sheer hostility of the crowd, with some social media posts even suggesting that a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) had been circulated over WhatsApp instructing individuals to use pepper spray during the demonstration.

FIR filed, accused arrested amid ongoing audacity

In a more recent update shared by the vlogger herself, Mouleswari confirmed that an FIR has been filed and the accused has been arrested, though the official identity of the perpetrator remains undisclosed.

Disturbing follow-up footage highlights the blatant audacity of the accused. Even after the attack and the arrival of law enforcement, she could be seen yelling aggressively at the police officers, defiantly shouting, “mai nhi jaungi” (I won’t go). The incident has sparked massive outrage online regarding safety and free speech for content creators covering public demonstrations.
