Praising the geographical location and fertile lands of Madhya Pradesh, Shah said that even small investments in the state could give substantial returns. He hailed the state’s radical transformation from a power-deficient state to one with surplus electricity. He also praised the state’s efforts in maintaining cleanliness.
Shah inaugurated industrial projects worth ₹2 lakh crore in the Summit on the occasion of the 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. “Atal ji was a great orator, a sensitive poet, a leader dedicated to public welfare and remained ‘ajatashatru’ (person without enemies) in politics,” said Shah, remembering the former Prime Minister. He also paid tributes to reformer and activist Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya on his birth anniversary and the first Governor-General of India, C Rajagopalachari, on his death anniversary.
The Union Home Minister inaugurated the Gwalior Fair and dedicated the renovation work carried out at the Atal Museum to the people on the occasion. Around 25,000 beneficiaries and thousands of entrepreneurs and investors are reportedly participating in the Growth Summit, organised to mark the birth anniversary of former PM Vajpayee. The industrial projects launched during the Summit are expected to generate 1.93 lakh employment opportunities.
