President Donald Trump has disclosed that the United States shipped a large quantity of weapons to Iranian protesters earlier this year, routing them through Kurdish channels, but he believes the Kurds ultimately kept the arms rather than delivering them to the intended recipients. The revelation came in a conversation with Fox News Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst amid the ongoing war against Iran.
He said that after the Iranian regime’s bloody crackdown on anti-government protesters earlier this year, the US attempted to arm Iranian protesters by sending them guns through Kurdish militia forces. But it is believed that Iranians didn’t receive the guns and Kurds kept them for themselves.

Trump stated during the telephonic interview: “We sent guns to the protesters, a lot of them. We sent them through the Kurds… And I think the Kurds took the guns.”
Trump’s interview came just after he posted an expletive-ridden warning to Iran on Truth Social, saying that Iranian power plants and bridges will be hit on Tuesday if Iran does not open the Strait of Hormuz.
In the interview, Trump also said that he is considering “taking over” Iran’s oil if a deal isn’t reached soon. “If they don’t make a deal and fast, I’m considering blowing everything up and taking over the oil,” he said.
However, he added that he believes there’s a “good chance” a deal can be made with Iran by Monday. “I think there is a good chance tomorrow, they are negotiating now,” he said.
