In a major development, the Yogi government has announced the recruitment of 32,679 new constables in the State.
The recruitment drive was confirmed in a notification of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) on Monday (29th December).
According to the notification, interested candidates must submit their online applications between 31st December this year and 30th January next year.

At the same time, the one-time registration (OTR) is mandatory for all candidates with the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board.
Without the completion of the OTR, candidates won’t be able to submit the form. The recruitment for the position of police constables will include written exams and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
Those who qualify will undergo the Physical Measurement Test (PMT). The last stage of selection includes verification of original documents and identity records.
The vacancies are open for candidates from Uttar Pradesh and outside, depending on the eligibility criteria. Earlier in 2025, the Yogi government had inducted 60,244 new constables in the police force.
