Vodafone Idea Limited has secured a deal worth USD 3.6 billion (Rs. 300 billion) with Nokia, Ericsson, and Samsung for the supply of network equipment over the next three years.
According to the new Telecommunications Act, the government may take control of the telecom services on the grounds of security, public order, or prevention of offences.
By late morning on Friday (23rd February), AT&T said most of its network was back online. "Our network teams took immediate action and so far, three-quarters of our network has been restored," the company said.
