Ashutosh Ranka, a spokesperson associated with CJP, has come under scrutiny after activist Vijay Patel highlighted his professional and funding links. Following the exposé, information that was earlier publicly available about Ranka was removed from the concerned website.
The information pointed to Ranka’s association with Kinaura Partners, formerly known as Global Health Vision. The organisation reportedly allowed him to continue his protest-related work on the ground while being associated with it.
“Outside of work, Ashutosh is engaged in grassroots campaigns in India, focusing primarily on environment, health, and education,” the website of Kinaura Partners read.
After the exposé on Ranka, the foreign employer and funder of AAP, aka CJP goon Ashutosh Ranka, has removed his data from the website.

Meanwhile, our Gen Z thinks he is fighting for education! https://t.co/dqTY3euyJl pic.twitter.com/YAF5lmAuFb
As per Ranka’s LinkedIn profile (where he is fairly active), the CJP spokesperson continues to work as a senior associate at Global Health Visions. Despite this, all the information about him was removed overnight.
The spotlight on these links has raised questions about who supports Ranka and the larger network connected to his activism. After the details were highlighted publicly, the information was removed from the website, even as many young supporters continued to see him as someone fighting for education.
Another name linked to Kinaura Partners is Emily Bell, who was a founding senior consultant at the organisation. Bell has also been described as someone who prepared speeches and social media strategy for George Soros.
The George Soros connection
George Soros, the Hungarian-American businessman and self-described philanthropist, has been widely associated with funding global left-liberal agendas, NGOs and movements linked to what are often described as “regime changes.”
Soros has openly spoken about fighting nationalist and conservative governments, which he has often described as authoritarian. Over the years, he has repeatedly criticised India’s nationalist government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Through networks involving NGOs, media organisations, intellectual groups and other institutions, Soros has supported causes and organisations that have taken positions against the Indian government. He has also publicly said that the Adani crisis could weaken the Modi government and lead to what he called a “democratic revival” in India.
His network has also been linked to efforts that critics describe as attempts to create a “colour revolution” a foreign-backed movement aimed at changing a country’s leadership. These efforts include funding global universities, democracy watchdogs such as Freedom House and V-Dem, media outlets, activists, non-profits and protest movements, including the Anti-CAA and farm law protests in India.
The broader aim, according to this view, is to project India as an authoritarian state instead of a democracy. The removal of publicly available information about Ranka’s professional links after Vijay Patel’s exposé has now brought fresh attention to these funding and network connections.
