On Saturday, February 8, counting for byelection for Milkipur Assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh took place. BJP’s Chandrabhan Paswan delivered a crushing defeat to Samajwadi Party’s Ajit Prasad, defeating him by over 60,000 votes. How ever, Ajit Prasad’s father is not taking this defeat very well.
Following the defeat of his son, Samajwadi Party MP Awadesh Prasad claimed that “fraudulent votes” and BJP’s goons are responsible for the embarrassing defeat of his son. The Faizabad MP said, “At least 78,000 fraudulent votes were cast by polling agents and BJP goons. Tomorrow, I will present all these facts in the Lok Sabha and inform the nation.”

He further added, “This dictatorship, this theory of electoral robbery, fraudulent voting carried out with the help of the police, the Election Commission, and officials involved in the election has resulted in the fake certificate of victory.”
Notably, Awadesh Prasad was hailed as the “King of Ayodhya” after the Lok Sabha elections when he triumphed from Ayodhya, however, this alleged King of Ayodhya couldn’t help his son win an assembly seat in the same district.
