PM Modi on Tuesday declared that India has entered a full-throttle “Reform Express” phase, where decisions are being implemented swiftly, strategically and with the common citizen placed firmly at the centre.
Addressing the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting in New Delhi, the Prime Minister said governance should now focus on removing everyday hurdles faced by people, enabling them to rise to their highest potential. “Reforms aren’t just about boosting revenue or economics. They must touch lives and ease the burden on citizens,” he reportedly told NDA MPs.
One of the key priorities outlined by PM Modi was the elimination of cumbersome paperwork. He took aim at outdated bureaucratic practices like 30–40-page forms and repetitive documentation requirements.
He said the government must ensure services reach citizens at their doorstep, not force them into endless queues. Recalling the decision to allow self-certification for many processes, the Prime Minister noted that the reform has worked seamlessly for a decade, proving that governance built on trust strengthens citizen participation.
PM Modi reinforced that simplifying daily life is now as crucial as improving India’s business climate. Both, he stressed, will drive the nation forward with the full participation of its people.
The meeting also saw NDA leaders felicitate the Prime Minister with a grand garland upon his arrival at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament Library Building. Senior leaders including Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and S Jaishankar, JDU MP Sanjay Jha, and NCP leader Praful Patel were in attendance.
