Pro-China propagandist Helle Lyng admits on camera that journalists were told not to ask questions during joint briefing of PM Modi and Norway’s PM: Here is how she revealed her agenda

Norwegian journalist Helle Lyng, who has emerged as a brand new ‘hero’ for the anti-Modi cabal in India in the past two days. In an interview with BBC Hindi, Lyng has admitted that journalists were informed beforehand that no press questions would be taken during the joint briefing by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and PM Jonas Gahr Støre.

Speaking to the BBC, Helle Lyng said, “No, no. I was well aware that it was a press briefing and that neither leader would be taking questions.”

Helle Lyng went on to justify her switch from being a journalist to an ‘activist’, and said, “That makes my job as a journalist even more important, because we cannot have foreign leaders come here and set the premise for democracy, what is a democracy…without questioning the most powerful person in your country.

When the BBC Hindi reporter reiterated his question about whether or not journalists were informed that the Indian and Norwegian leaders will not be taking press questions during the briefing, Lyng said, “It wasn’t planned. The premise of that I question.”

She further exposed herself regarding the biased claims of human rights violations in India as she cited known anti-India outfits like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch as her primary sources of information in this context.

Helle Lyng, who is associated with a lesser-known media house, Dagsavisen, had only 800+ followers, and her social media handle on X was fairly dead, with the last post from April 2024, before she heckled PM Modi and proudly posted about it.

It has been confirmed that it was not a press briefing but a joint statement. Neither the Indian nor the Norwegian Prime Ministers were supposed to take questions. There was a panel of Ministry of External Affairs officials who took the questions later.

As PM Modi was leaving the podium after making the statement, she asked, “Prime Minister Modi, why don’t you take some questions from the freest press of the world?” PM Modi did not answer and walked away with his counterpart. This was exactly what Lyng was hoping for. She said, “Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, would not take my question. I was not expecting him to.”

In no time, Helle Lyng gained Indian attention, criticism, support, media interviews, followers and a ‘hero’ status among the left liberal ecosystem.
