Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal has been detained after she tried to dump garbage near AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal’s house. As per reports, the MP, with a group of her supporters has been carrying out a unique protest near Kejriwal’s house, by collecting garbage from around Delhi and dumping it near the former CM’s residence.

Her team posted on X from Maliwal’s handle, saying that Kejriwal had sent police to get her arrested.
Earlier today, Swati Maliwal had posted that she would dump all the garbage collected in a garbage truck near Kejriwal’s house. The MP has, for weeks, visiting locations all over Delhi where civic infra is in shambles and people have been living in despicable conditions, with garbage everywhere and no sanitation facilities.

“This protest is not against any party. Today, Delhi is in an unprecedentedly bad state. Every nook and corner of Delhi is dirty, roads are broken, and drains are overflowing. Women of Vikaspuri had written a complaint that a garbage dump has been formed on the road, and despite complaining to the MLA, no one is taking any action to get it cleaned… I have come here to participate in the cleanliness drive that the women here had organised. We will take this garbage to Arvind Kejriwal’s residence and ask him what to do with this filthy gift he has given to every area of Delhi”, Maliwal told media before taking all the garbage to dump outside Kejriwal’s residence.
