The Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti has accused the Bharuch Jama Masjid management of violating ASI rules, claiming the protected site is an ancient Jain temple and demanding an immediate survey and restoration of its original form.

Jain said that the rights of minority in the country have become synonymous with Muslim rights in the country, adding that the rights of other minority communities are neglected.

Palitana houses Shatrunjay Hills, one of the holiest religious centres for Jains, for it is the abode of first Tirthankar of the current cycle, Lord Aadinath.

"The work of reinstalling the idols has started. The investigation of this entire matter has been given to Panchmahal DSP," Harsh Sanghvi posted on X.

"Pavagadh is a historic land. Many Jain teerthankars' statues had been established on the mountains of Pavagadh...No trust, organization or individual has the right to demolish such historic statues and religious places," Sanghvi said.
