An Ohio mass shooting near Toledo’s annual Old West End Festival left 12 people injured, including two critically.

Police said Shamar Elkins carried out the attack as a domestic violence incident, killing children aged one to fourteen at a West 79th Street residence. Two women and a teenager were injured, and the crime scene spanned multiple locations.

Police told the French news agency AFP that they are still investigating the incident and have not yet established why the attack took place.

The police further stated that during the operation, Akram was shot and arrested; he is in police custody.
