In an affidavit, Patanjali Ayurved Managing Director Acharya Balkrishna said that he submits an unqualified apology before the top court for the breach of the statement recorded in the order copy of the top court dated November 21, 2023.
The Supreme Court ruled that Patanjali cannot advertise or market any of its medicinal products that claimed to heal conditions listed in the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act.
The Supreme Court Tuesday cautioned Patanjali Ayurved against making "false" and "misleading" claims in ad about its medicines as cure of several diseases.
The HC expressed its doubts over the "maintainability" of the suit at this stage and said DMA should be spending time on finding a cure for the pandemic instead of wasting the court’s time.
The complaint, signed by General Secretary of IMA, Dr. Jayesh Lele, sought an FIR against Baba Ramdev and his associates at the IP Estate police station in New Delhi.
While the reason for the raid is unclear, the Alwar collectorate has formed an inquiry committee and hinted that the investigation could be given to CB-CID to probe the matter, the Republic report said.
