Bollywood actress Sai Pallavi has firmly dismissed recent rumours claiming she adopted a vegetarian diet for her role as Sita in the much-anticipated film 'Ramayana', directed by Nitesh Tiwari.

The vegetarian family had accused the Muslim staff of Romeo Lane restaurant in Meerut of deliberately corrupting their religion.

The Delhi HC issued notices to Baba Ramdev and Patanjali's Divya Pharmacy in response to a petition alleging that the herbal tooth powder Divya Dant Manjan contains non-vegetarian ingredients, despite being labelled as vegetarian.

Based on the receipts of the order, the Commission held that the order clearly indicates that the KFC Chandigarh outlet, instead of delivering a veg krisper burger as mentioned in the receipts, delivered a non-veg krisper burger stuffed with chicken.

The SC said, "In furtherance to this, the competent authority may perhaps issue orders under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and the Street Vendors Act, 2014."

Popular food delivery and restaurant aggregator company Zomato has decided that its newly introduced 'Pure Vegetarian' delivery fleet will continue to wear Zomato's trademark red instead of green as originally conceived by the delivery start-up. 

Zomato was at the receiving end of online attack after it announced a new service to serve its pure veg customers.

"Our dedicated Pure Veg Fleet will only serve orders from these pure veg restaurants. This means that a non-veg meal, or even a veg meal served by a non-veg restaurant will never go inside the green delivery box meant for our Pure Veg Fleet", Goyal added.
