Gujarat: Dr Priti Adani marks 25 years of Adani Public School in Mundra, inaugurates new sports complex and auditorium

On 27th April, Adani Public School in Mundra, Kutch district of Gujarat, completed 25 years of its journey in education. The celebration brought together students, alumni, parents and educators. The occasion was led by Dr Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation. She inaugurated a new indoor sports complex and a state-of-the-art auditorium.

The school began its journey in 2001. In the first session, there were 233 students and 27 teachers. Now, 2,300 students receive education from over 100 educators. The school has become a leading CBSE institution in Kutch, anchored in the idea of accessible, holistic and future-ready education.

According to the Adani Foundation, the school’s journey reflects steady, purpose-led growth and its focus on education that combines academic learning with value-based development, exposure to innovation, sports, culture and community participation.

Gautam Adani says the school honours dreams and futures

Marking the milestone, Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, said that the completion of 25 years celebrates far more than an institution. He said the occasion honours dreams nurtured and futures shaped.

“At this milestone, my hope is that every student leaves with the confidence to dream without limits, the resilience to rise after every fall, and the humility to give back. Every child here carries the promise of India’s future, and it is this promise that inspires purposeful action,” he said.

Dr Priti Adani recalled that 25 years ago, a simple thought took root on the windswept coast of Kutch, that every child deserves an education that opens a window to the world.

“What began as a small ray of hope has grown into a radiant lamp, illuminating lives and communities. This journey belongs to every teacher who believed, every parent who trusted, and every child who dared to dream,” she said.

Students showcase innovation and creativity

The celebrations began with a traditional welcome by the Bagpiper Band and National Cadet Corps cadets. Innovation and creativity were showcased through Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics exhibits, robotics displays, curated art workstations and performances by students.

The school said the exhibits and performances reflected a culture of inquiry and expression, highlighting the emphasis on learning beyond classrooms.

Sports complex and auditorium inaugurated

The occasion also marked the inauguration of an indoor sports complex with facilities for badminton, pickleball and table tennis. A state-of-the-art auditorium with a seating capacity of 558 was also inaugurated. The auditorium is among the largest of its kind in Kutch.

A specially curated documentary traced the journey of the school from its early years in Mundra to its emergence as a leading institution in the region. A commemorative coffee table book capturing the institution’s journey and milestones was also released.

A defining moment of the event was Dr Adani’s interaction with alumni, parents and student achievers, underscoring the bond between the institution and the community it serves.

The Adani Foundation runs more than 43 schools across India, including 35 Adani Public Schools, 4 Adani Vidya Mandir schools and 2 Project Schools. The Foundation said these schools are largely located in rural and underserved regions and focus on value-based learning, experiential education and skill building.
