‘Can’t go to Haj, will convert Hindu woman for Jannat’: Faheem pose as ‘Sahil’ to entrap Dalit Hindu woman in Delhi’s Batla House, rapes and forces her to convert to Islam

In Delhi’s Batla House area, a Dalit Hindu woman is reported to have been kidnapped, gang-raped, and forced to convert to Islam. The Delhi Police recently registered an FIR based on the victim’s complaint and arrested four Muslim men. The accused, however, are continuously threatening the victim even from jail.

The victim stated in her complaint that she came in contact with a person named Sahil through social media in 2021. The accused claimed to be from a rich Hindu family and lured the victim to Batla House in 2022 on the promise of marriage. In her complaint, the victim said that she soon learnt that Sahil was not from a Hindu family, but a Muslim family and his real name is Faheem.

Faheem, along with a friend, gang-raped the girl at Batla House, filmed the incident, and later used the video to blackmail her. Later, the victim was taken to Meerut. Accused Faheem told the Dalit Hindu victim that since he has a criminal record, he cannot go to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage. Thus, to secure a spot in Jannat (Islamic heaven), he will convert a Hindu woman to Islam and marry her.

“Because of my criminal record, I cannot go out of India for Hajj, so to go to heaven, I will have to marry a Hindu woman and convert her to Islam,” Faheem told the Hindu victim.

The complainant alleged that she was coerced into marrying Faheem, and her name was changed to Ayesha. Eventually, she found out that Faheem’s family was involved in illegal arms smuggling.

According to media reports, the Hindu woman also stated that the accused’s family would bring her blood-soaked meat to intimidate her, and that she would be forced to cook it. Furthermore, she was threatened with having her daughter hanged from the ceiling. The victim also made serious allegations of harassment against another accused, Tasleem Maulvi.

The victim stated that she was fed up with all this and was about to commit suicide, but someone stopped her and put her in touch with an NGO. Only after this did she file a complaint. According to reports, in 2025, the main accused, Faheem, was arrested by Gurugram police, and a mobile phone containing the victim’s obscene video was confiscated from him.

However, the woman still alleges that Faheem contacted her from inside the prison and that she has been receiving death threats from a Dubai number. Police have launched an investigation into these allegations.
