The Namma Metro in Bengaluru is set to witness a steep hike in ticket prices. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has approved a whopping 40-45% hike in fares.
As such, the maximum fare could reach as high as ₹85, up from ₹60. This decision is likely to add to the financial woes of the daily commuters.
According to reports, the base price will mostly remain unchanged. However, the rise in ticket prices will affect long-distance commuters.
