A shocking case of love jihad has come to light from Katihar district, Bihar. A man named Mohammad Fantu was posing as Aryan Singh to lure female students under the guise of a coaching institute. Fantu, who deceived young women, is accused of operating the coaching centre under a false identity and name for a long time.
According to media reports, the accused has been charged with serious charges like trying to establish illicit relations with girls by changing his name, cheating students, forgery, mental harassment, threat to kill and human trafficking.
The institute, named GAP Institute and Technology Welfare Trust, was operating in a remote area of Manihari subdivision of Katihar. Students and staff at the centre were reportedly told that the institute was run by a man named Aryan Singh.
The investigation revealed that the real director of this so-called coaching institute was Mohammad Fantu. The accused was running an office in Manihari for the last several months by calling himself the chairman. He used to roam around in a luxury car with a board written ‘Chairman’ and used to trap young men and women by giving them false promises of jobs, training and placement.
A woman working at the institute has accused Fantu of inappropriate behaviour and sexual misconduct. After that, she filed a police complaint, but efforts were made to suppress the matter. She claims that the female police officer posted at the police station, Jeba, sided with the accused and threatened her into withdrawing the complaint.
Fantu is accused of using a fake identity as Aryan Singh to contact young women, sending them objectionable messages, and subjecting them to constant mental pressure to abuse. The victims also said that under the guise of training, the young women were taken to Purnia and Nepal, where they were coerced into immoral activities.
