On Thursday (9th January), the Jalaun police in Uttar Pradesh arrested a Hindu activist named Dr. Ashish Dwivedi for making objectionable posts about BR Ambedkar on social media.
Jalaun police confirmed the development in a tweet. In a statement, the police said, “It is to be informed that accused Ashish Dwivedi had posted objectionable posts regarding Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar through X.”
“In this regard, accused Ashish was arrested by Kotwali Jalaun Police to maintain peace and order and produced before Hon’ble Court,” the cops added.

“In my view, he (BR Ambedkar) will always remain a traitor. This is despite the fact that vested political interests may make him a hero,” the Hindu activist had posted on X (formerly Twitter)
