A hotel named ‘Meher Mani & Grills’ has come under the scanner after posting a promotional campaign showing Lord Krishna eating a non-vegetarian dish. The incident occurred in Cherthala in the Alappuzha district of Keralam.
According to a report by the Organiser, the restaurant located near the North Market Central Juma Masjid is owned by Mohammed Shemir, who is the son of the local Indian Union Muslim League leader.
Meher Mani & Grills posted the hateful banner, hurting Hindu religious sentiments, on the occasion of Malayalam New Year (Vishu), i.e., one of the most sacred Hindu festivals in Keralam.
