A video of a woman beating a Maulana with a whip has been doing the rounds on social media. The video reportedly relates to an incident that happened in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, wherein a Maulana raped a minor girl.
According to reports, Maulana Haseeb raped the 15-year-old girl, which is why the woman brutally thrashed him. In the video, the woman can be seen hitting the Maulana with a whip and threatening to kill him. “For the past five months, you have made my life miserable. I can’t sleep. You cast an evil eye on my children. Tell me, at whose behest did you do this?” the woman said while thrashing him continuously. “You raped my 15-year-old daughter by stuffing a cloth in her mouth. I’ve got your entire horoscope. I have proof. If I shout once, ten people will come,” she continued.
The Maulana can be seen begging the woman for mercy with folded hands and crying, “Hai Allah-Hai Tauba!”.

A complaint was reportedly submitted to officials, including the Sultanpur Police, Chief Minister, and Director General of Police, by Sarvesh Kumar Singh, the state in charge of the Rashtriya Gau Raksha Vahini, regarding the incident. According to the complaint, Maulana Haseeb is a madrassa teacher in the Baharampur gram panchayat and resides in Gaura village. It states that the woman beating the Maulana runs a shop in Jamo town. She filed a complaint against the Maulana with the Sultanpur Police. Several complaints have been filed against the Maulana earlier.
There is no confirmation of an FIR being lodged or a police action against the Maulana in the current case.
