In April last year, one Himanshu Dixit had complained that a large number of people had gathered to convert local Hindus to Christianity by luring them with money and other tactics.

In her complaint, the victim had accused a pastor and 4 others for gang-raping her and forcing her to accept Christianity.

The Income Tax officers revealed that the pastors have been operating churches under the guise of healing ministries, which are self-styled congregations that accept significant amount of funding from foreign nations. These are either registered as autonomous religious entities or as societies led by a pastor.

The FIR in this case was registered by Himanshu Dixit who alleged that on April 15, 2022, around 90 Hindus had gathered at the Evangelical Church of India, Hariharganj, Fatehpur, with the intention of converting to Christianity.

A local filed a complaint against evangelists alleging that they were forcing his family to embrace Christianity.
