arnataka Government has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court defending its decision to scrap four per cent OBC reservation for Muslims in the state.
Karnataka govt abolished the current 4% reservation for Muslims under the OBC quota and transferred them to the 10% pool for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)
The Supreme Court has also allowed the 8 lakh annual income limit for the EWS, as of now. The final verdict on the EWS criteria is to be decided on the third week of March.
