The accused have been booked under sections 307, 324, 323, 452, 504, 506, 141, 143, 147, 149 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Several sections of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951 including 37 (1), 37 (3), and 135 have also been imposed against the accused.

OpIndia has obtained the FIR copy of the incident which reports that the girl was brutally raped and abused and also threatened on August 8 when she was alone at home. The minor girl studies in class 9 at Subhash Anna School. The accused who stays in the neighbourhood of the girl barged into the girl's home and raped her.

A local filed a complaint against evangelists alleging that they were forcing his family to embrace Christianity.
