PM Modi, Sri Lankan President and PM of Mauritius will witness the launch of Unified Payment Interface (UPI) in Sri Lanka and Mauritius, as well as RuPay card services in Mauritius.
Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatrasaid that discussions are underway between India and Oman on utilising UPI stack, and Rupee trade between the 2 countries
The GPFI document, prepared in anticipation of the G20 Summit hosted by India, noted the significant steps taken by the Narendra Modi-led government and the pivotal role of government policies and regulations in shaping the DPI landscape.
“Last time when I came to France, it was decided that Indian students studying in France would be given a 2-year post-study work visa. Now it has been decided that Indian students will be given a five-year post-study work visa," while speaking to the Indian community at La Seine Musicale in Paris.
Second, on the list is Brazil which accounted for 29.2 billion transactions followed by China with 17.6 billion transactions. On number 4 is Thailand with 16.5 billion digital transactions followed by South Korea with 8 billion transactions.
With the mutual adoption of RuPay and Mir cards Indian and Russian people would be able to make hassle-free payments in their respective nations in Indian rupees and Russian rubles.
