The Economic Survey tabled before the state legislature of Uttar Pradesh on Monday is the first such annual economic document, similar to the Central government’s practice.

Taking the holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during the month of Magh bestows the same merit as performing thousands of Ashwamedha Yagyas, as per Hindu Puranas.

Recently, in a press conference held in Lucknow on 8th December, UP Police DGP Rajiv Krishna stated that a total of 11 cases have been registered in the Lucknow zone, 4 cases in the Bareilly zone, 10 cases in the Gorakhpur zone, and 2 cases in the Varanasi zone. Through these cases, preparations are underway to dismantle the entire network through which the illegal drug trade was being conducted.

“If there were no Yogi government, this punishment would not have been possible. If it were an SP government, we Hindus would have been the ones sent to jail,” Harimilan Mishra told us.

As part of an initiative by UP government, 16-gram panchayats across nine blocks have been selected to ensure household waste collection.

The scheme will empower farmers and rural entrepreneurs by offering them an opportunity to diversify their income sources and, at the same time, preserve their traditional lifestyle.
