Uttar Pradesh: Imam Shahzad kills new bride, married her after posing as cloth merchant and lying about first wife, arrested with aide Nadeem

The police have successfully solved the mystery surrounding the murder of a woman dressed in a burqa. Her body was discovered near the Ganges Canal tracks in Meerut of Uttar Pradesh, on 17th September. This sensational investigation uncovered that the crime was perpetrated by her spouse identified as Shahzad who is an imam and his associate Nadeem Ansari.

According to reports, Naeema was wed to Shahzad who works as a cleric in a mosque located in Charthawal of Muzaffarnagar. The couple connected through social media, where he masqueraded as a cloth merchant and seduced her into a romantic relationship. She was oblivious to the fact that he was already married and had three children.

The victim learned the truth after their marriage which led to frequent fights between the pair. She even started to prevent Shahzad from visiting his first wife. Hence, he devised a dreadful scheme to get rid of his new bride and gave Rs 12,000 to his aide to carry out the plan.

On 16th September the accused lured Naeema to Meerut under the guise of shopping, as part of their plot. They then added sleeping pills to her juice and transported her to a field near Siwal Khas after she lost her consciousness. Nadeem proceeded to strangle her with a rope after which Shahzad used a knife to slit her throat.

Shahzad submitted a missing person report in Muzaffarnagar to deceive the authorities following the crime. However, his statements were found to be inconsistent during questionning and eventually disclosed the full details of the murder mystery. The police have arrested both culprits and retrieved the knife and rope utilized in the homicide. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vipin Tada declared a reward of Rs 25,000 for the team that successfully cracked the case.
