Love Jihad in Gujarat: Altaf Wali Khan pretends to be ‘Sahil Desai’ to trap a minor Hindu girl in Gandhinagar, sexually exploits her; arrested after intervention from Bajrang Dal

A disturbing case of Love Jihad has come to light in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, where a Muslim man trapped and sexually exploited a minor Hindu girl by pretending to be a Hindu. The 21-year-old Muslim man named Altaf Wali Khan Luhar contacted the 17-year-old Hindu minor, a student of 10th standard, through Instagram.

Altaf, who works at a local accessories shop, had made his Instagram ID using a Hindu name, Sahil Desai. Without revealing his real name and religion, Altaf lured the minor Hindu girl into a relationship and has been sexually exploiting her for the past few months. He was arrested by the police after Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad activists caught him. An FIR was lodged against, and an investigation is going on in the case.

As per reports, recently, Altaf went to the house of the minor girl after learning that she was alone at the house. On seeing him sneaking into her house, the neighbours grew suspicious and informed the Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Some members of the Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad arrived at the victim’s house and started looking for her and Altaf. They reached the third floor of the house and opened the door of a room there. In the room, they found Altaf lying with the victim in a compromising situation. They caught Altaf and checked his mobile phone and found several obscene photos and videos of the Hindu minor on it.

Despite warnings from the family, Altaf did not stop meeting the victim

Notably, about six months ago, the family of the victim had come to know that Altaf was in touch with their daughter. They called Altaf to their house and reprimanded him, warning him to stay away from their daughter. However, he did not stop and kept meeting the girl.

The members of the Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad surrounded the police station and demanded stringent action against the culprit. They appealed to the State Deputy Chief Minister, Harsh Sanghavi, to ensure strict action in the case. They warned the police that if immediate and strong action is not taken in the case, they will hold protests. The police invoked relevant provisions of the BNS and the POCSO Act against the culprit.
