West Bengal: Anti-Hindu YouTuber Akramul Bagani who incited violence in Malda arrested, accused has ties with both TMC and AIMIM

A day after a frenzied mob held 8 judicial officers hostage inside the BDO office in the Muslim-dominated Malda district of West Bengal, the police have arrested a key accused named Akramul Bagani in connection with the case on Friday (3rd April).

Akramul runs a YouTube channel by the name of ‘Insaf News’ where he peddles pro-TMC propaganda, Islamist ideology and anti-Hindu hatred.

According to reports, he posted incendiary videos on YouTube and instigated people in Malda. Akramul is an aide of AIMIM rabble-rouser Mofakerrul Islam, who incited the public against the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.

Following his arrest, Akramul’s picture with Trinamool Congress leader and West Bengal Transport Minister Snehasish Chakraborty went viral on social media.
