A Hindu minor girl who had gone missing has returned to her home in Madhya Pradesh’s Ashoknagar district wearing a burqa, after which her family approached the police with serious accusations of rape and forced religious conversion. The case has been registered at Piprai police station against three accused.
According to police, the incident is linked to Bhopal, where the main accused, identified as Altamash Khan, is said to have been in contact with the Hindu girl for some time. The victim told her mother that he had convinced her to travel with him by promising to show her around Bhopal. She then went with him by train. After reaching there, she said he converted her religion to Islam and married her.
The girl further stated that she was kept in a dilapidated house in Bhopal, where she was repeatedly raped over the past few months. She told police that she was taken to different places around 10 to 15 times and forced into physical relations under threat.
The situation came to light when the girl returned to Piprai on 14th April along with her two friends, wearing a black burqa. Her mother questioned her about it, after which the girl shared the whole incident that had happened. In her complaint, the mother also mentioned that her daughter had been staying at her maternal uncle’s house in Mandideep in Raisen district, near Bhopal, and used to visit home frequently.
The complaint also includes claims that two other Hindu minor girls, who are friends of the victim, went through similar experiences. Police said that two more accused, Aahan Khan and Aahat Sheikh, who are friends of Altamash, were involved in similar acts with the other girls. All three accused are residents of Bhopal and are known to each other.

Sub-divisional officer of police Vivek Sharma said that based on the complaint, a case has been registered under multiple sections, including rape, the SC/ST Act, and the Madhya Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act. He confirmed that police teams and technical units have been sent to trace and arrest the accused.
Police said the statements of the three girls are being recorded, and evidence is being collected. Officials added that strict action will be taken against the accused.
