A shocking case has come forward from Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh, where a married Hindu woman has claimed that a Muslim man named Irfan trapped her in a fake relationship, sexually exploited her for months, and forced her to convert to Islam. The woman says the accused also recorded objectionable videos of her and later used them to threaten and blackmail her.
Husband says the accused entered their home in his absence
The victim’s husband, Arjun Lal Gupta, runs a juice and lassi shop at Malhipur intersection. According to him, Irfan used to come to their house when he was away for work. He claims the accused slowly trapped his wife with emotional talks and promises of love.
The husband said that Irfan, along with a woman named Rubina, ruined his family life and mentally harassed his wife for several months. He also alleged that Irfan threatened to make private videos of his wife viral on social media.
The woman says she was drugged and exploited for six months
The victim, Priyanka Gupta, who lives in the Malhipur police station area, said she was living a normal and happy family life before Irfan entered her life. According to her complaint, Irfan took advantage of her loneliness and helplessness while her husband remained busy with work.
She said the accused drugged her and raped her repeatedly for nearly six months. During this period, he also recorded obscene videos and photos of her without her consent. The woman further stated that when she became pregnant, Irfan and Rubina forced her for abortion.
Pressure to convert to Islam
After the abortion, the accused allegedly started pressuring the woman to convert to Islam and leave her husband. The victim said Irfan asked her to run away with him after changing her religion.
When she refused, he allegedly threatened to upload her private videos and photos online. The woman said she lived in fear for months because of these threats and felt trapped inside her own home.
The couple demands strict action
The victim said she only wants justice and wants the accused to be sent to jail. Her husband also appealed to the police administration to take strict action against Irfan and Rubina.
The matter has now reached senior police officials, and the family is waiting for strict action in the case.
